Electrical Control Systems
Bespoke-Test Equipment specialises in designing and building custom electrical control systems using Beckhoff technologies, with all control panels manufactured in-house for full quality oversight. We develop and commission projects in both TwinCAT and CODESYS environments and integrate a wide range of third-party hardware onto EtherCAT networks. Our team also surveys and upgrades legacy control systems, providing modernisation solutions that extend equipment life, improve reliability, and align aging systems with current industry standards.
EtherCAT is one of the fastest and most reliable real-time industrial communication standards available today. EtherCAT’s unique “on-the-fly” processing allows each device on the network to read and write data as frames pass through, enabling exceptional speed, precise synchronisation, and highly efficient use of bandwidth. This makes it ideal for complex machinery, high-speed automation, and applications where reliability and response time are critical.
We design systems that take full advantage of EtherCAT’s flexible topologies for simplified wiring, built-in redundancy options for improved resilience, and seamless integration of safety functions through Safety over EtherCAT (FSoE). Beyond EtherCAT itself, we also work with complementary communication profiles such as Ethernet over EtherCAT (EoE), CANopen over EtherCAT (CoE) and SERCOS over EtherCAT (SoE). These allow us to integrate third-party devices, motion systems, and higher-level automation platforms with ease. For customers looking to modernise or expand their systems, we ensure compatibility with emerging Industry 4.0 technologies by supporting interfaces to protocols such as OPC UA and MQTT.
